Tips for Giving Effective Presentations

Abstract: What makes the difference between a good presentation and a great one? Naturally, content is important. More crucial may be how that content is conveyed. In this interactive session, ideas will be exchanged about what makes an effective presentation, from initial planning to delivery. Advice will be given on how to write an effective abstract when submitting presentation proposals. Both experienced presenters and beginners will get ideas for giving presentations they and their audiences can enjoy. Come with questions and your own ideas to contribute.

Bio: C.A. has advanced degrees in Theatre and TESOL, and has coached award-winning speech contestants. Wilma has taught in Costa Rica and the U.S. as a teacher trainer for the School for International Training's TESOL Certificate course. C.A., Wilma, and Chris teach at several area universities.
