JALT Hokkaido Bonenkai
When: Sunday Dec 16 (doors open at 4pm; start eating from 5pm)
Where: H.I.S.
Who: JALT Hokkaido members!
What: It's that time of the year when we look back at another successful year in JALT Hokkaido and eat! We've once again rented the Hokkaido International School multi-purpose room so we'll have lots of space. Bring a friend! Bring your family! Bring your slippers!
Set aside Sunday, December 14th for our annual year-end JALT potluck family dinner. The doors will open at 4:00 and we will start to eat from 5:00.
As always, JALT will provide lots of turkey, stuffing, and gravy as well as non-alcoholic drinks.
This is a potluck dinner and a good time to share your favorite family holiday dish. However, in order to guarantee some degree of balance, we would like people to sign up to bring something. Mary Virgil-Uchida will be organizing the food again this year. Please email Mary at Mary Louise Virgil-Uchida <maryvirgiluchida@mac.com > to tell her what you're planning to bring or if you need a suggestion. If you're willing and able to cook a turkey (provided by JALT), please let her know ASAP!
In addition to the food, we are planning to hold a silent auction for Phred Kaufman's Project Santa. Every year he uses the money to buy presents for children in local orphanages. So bring items you no longer need that you think someone else would like to have. Bring some cash too, so that you can take something home. It's for a good cause.
Let's have another enjoyable ending to a very successful year!
